Who is this BootCamp For?

If you are a complete beginner to Web Development or You are looking to Improve your practical Front-End Development Skills, this program is for you.

What To Expect

We believe the problem with learning software development is not about knowledge but how to use the information. So this program is designed to emphasize the following:

  • Career Advice - Pro-Tips on what to do and what not to do. shortcuts to accomplish more with less effort.
  • How To Think Like a Developer - Fundamental programming skills, with this you can pick up new technologies on your own.
  • Typing Code, Lots of It - Less Theory, More practical. The only way to learn how to code is to start writing code. The program will be 20% teaching 80% practice.

What Not to Expect

If you are looking for where to master certain tools and frameworks. This program is not for you. This program is intended to teach the fundamentals of web frontend programming. Yes, we would use frameworks but we are not emphasizing on them.

Schedule And Venue

Classes would begin 23rd May, 2022 and would be hosted online. Necessary information would be provided after your application is complete

Pre-Requisite

  • You do not need any previous programming experience
  • If you can use Google to make a search, you are good to go.
  • Access to a personal computer with at least 4GB of RAM is essential

Curriculum

Here is what you would learn throughout the program;

WEEK 1-2 - The Web, HTML & CSS

You would learn about the web and how it works;

  • client-server architecture

  • CSS and styling

WEEK 3-4 - JavaScript Language

You would learn fundamental concepts of a the JavaScript programming language;

  • Variables
  • Expressions
  • Operations
  • Conditionals
  • Loops
  • Functions
  • Promises

WEEK 5 - Browser API

You would learn how to use features from the browser to build front-end applications;

  • Console API
  • The HTML DOM API
  • Local Storage API
  • Fetch API

WEEK 7-9 - ReactJS

You would learn ReactJS framework for building modern single page applications;

  • Why React was created?
  • JSX syntax and transpilation
  • States
  • Components
  • Redux

WEEK 10 - Firebase

You would learn how to use Google’s Firebase to manage multiple user’s account and data;

  • Firestore Database
  • Firebase Storage
  • Firebase Hosting
  • Firebase Local Emulator
  • Web Security Basics

WEEK 11 - UX & Figma

You would learn how to design application’s user experience with Figma;

  • A tale of User Experience
  • Design
  • Prototyping

week 12-15 - Solo Project

You will choose a project topic to work on. We would guide you until completion.
